My Happiest Moment
Shhh! Shhh! do you hear that? Those are the candle flames swaying gracefully in the wind. Tonight was the last night of Chanukkah and I was going to get the biggest, and last present of the eight of them, but I didn’t know that tonight was going to be the happiest moment of my life. I was going to get a Nintendo DS! I didn’t know that. All I knew was that there were eight candles set on the tables. It looked as though the golden flames were eyes glaring at me. When we were done with the prayers, we all walked to the other side of the room where the presents were. Now let me explain more....
First, I was nervous. I walked as slow as a snail to the other side of the room. As I did, my feet trembled, my hands and feet were seating, and my cat was staring at me with his gleaming amber eyes. When I finally got there, I stared blankly at the cherry red wrapping paper on my present, wondering what would be in there.
Next was when my happiest moment occurred. I closed my eyes so tightly that my eyelids felt like they were coming off. As I stretched my hand out, I felt it shaking as fast as the speed of light. When my hand finally reached the paper, I tore it off. A smile stretched from ear to ear across my face. It was a Nintendo DS! After I recovered from a shock of joy, I did cartwheels all around the room. This was the happiest moment in my life!
Last, I was excited because it came with six games. The whole night my sister and I played our DS’s. We were lucky that the next day was a Saturday because since we played all night , the second the sun came up, we fell fast asleep in the morning sunshine.
Well, now you know that the happiest moment in my life was when I got my Nintendo DS. Since then, I played it over and over waiting for this year’s Chanukkah to come. What was your happiest moment in your life?
