A Famous Visitor

As the crowd yelled, the championship banner swayed in the air. Meanwhile, the crowd was hitting their clappers together when the Heat's rival team was shooting free throws. Down below, the basketball players were playing on the sparkling court with the logo in the middle. I, the 9 year old normal kids, am trying to meet Dwayne Wade, a Miami Heat superstar. Little did I know I'd meet Dwayne in a raffle at the arena to visit me at my house.

To start, I'm at a Heat game and there is a raffle to meet Dwayne Wade, the Heat's star player. I wanted to win so badly. Then the DJ Irie started to put his hand in the box. My legs were shaking and I was biting my nails. Then Irie said, "It's a 9 year old boy." My hopes got high as I was about 40% sure it was me. Then DJ Irie announced, "That boy's name is Zachary." I wondered how many Zachary's could be in the arena and 9 years old. Lastly, DJ Irie said, "The lucky 9 year old boy named Zachary is Zachary Bien in row 198." Then I stood up and crazy. I gave Dwayne my address as my jaw dropped as low as the floor.

Next, since Dwayne got my address, he came to my house. Dwayne was so nice and fun. Also he helped me on my basketball fundamentals like dribbling. The best part was learning his famous fade-away jumper. He's very well known for it because against the New York Nicks on his rookie game, he made the Heat win 102-101. It was as fun as seeing a friend you didn't see in years. After I learned the fade-away, I got to play in the American Airlines Arena. Although I lost, Wade is too good of a player. I also got to see the championship trophy and got his autograph.

Lastly, I had to say goodbye so it was time for one last game and one last look at the championship trophy. Since I won't see him in a long time, I went to dinner going in his75 foot limo. I felt like I was a celebrity. I got a lot of attention. When we were at dinner I had a great time. Dwayne is probably one of the coolest guys I'll ever meet. The food was delicious. I never tasted any better. Although I had a great time, I got sad when I had to say goodbye.

I can't believe I experienced meeting Dwayne. I never have thought I'd meet someone like him. I'd definitely do this all over again. Do you think you would enjoy it as much as I did? Now you know what happened when I won a raffle and Dwayne Wade visited.
